My communications guidelines are based on:
- Empathic Communication
- Nonviolent Communication
- Verbal Judo
- Verbal Yoga
- Compassion and Empathy
- Understanding Logical Fallacy (which many people do not)
- Understanding Projection
- Understanding Verbal and Emotional Abuse
- Applying: Appropriate Logic, Personal Accountability, Verbal and Emotional Health
I’ll post more, however, those are some foundations for my communications guidelines. I realize that “verbal health” may seem a bit odd as an expression. The thought derives from looking at our lives as flowing from thought, through mental, emotional, and into the physical realms. So, think good thoughts and do good deeds.
When you use abusive language, taking one step behind that language, likely lurk abusive thoughts. Abusive thoughts are often rooted in malice or logical fallacy.
